Spring Show Auditions

March 2nd Audition

Casting for Greg

The Evergreen Playhouse  at 7pm

“Sylvia,” by A.R. Gurney, is a hilarious commentary on mid-life angst, and the role pets play in our lives. The play calls for two male actors and four female actors. A brief summary is as follows:

Greg and Kate find themselves in Manhattan after 22 years of childraising in the suburbs. His career as a financial trader is winding down while her career, as a teacher, is starting to take off. Greg brings home a dog found wandering in the park – bearing only the name “Sylvia” on her name tag. Thus begins a comedic spiral into the complications of marriage in peril and balancing a mid-life crisis – all while welcoming the latest member of the family.

Characters:

Sylvia: The dog
Greg: The husband
Kate: The wife
Tom: Greg’s friend
Phyllis: Kate’s friend
Leslie: The psychiatrist

Come on all you men!!! We need to see more of you there! One more audition is being held on March 2nd! See you there at 7pm!
