ATTENTION MEMBERS!

ATTENTION all Evergreen Playhouse Members. How would you like to become a board member? The nominating committee is now accepting applications of interest. This is a great way to participate. There are 7 positions open for election this year, 1 and 2 year positions, Secretary, VP, and 5 members at large. Board positions requirements  include, attending monthly board meetings, volunteering at least… 1 night during each performance, serving on a committee of your choice with at least 1 committee meeting a month, we are an all volunteer theater so this is a working board. If you are interested please message us an email address and we will send you an application, or  you can print one out. Please drop them off at the playhouse, c/o nominating committee. THANK YOU

AUDITIONS!!!!

 

Auditions for “The Underpants” by Steve Martin are next week. The 15th, 16th and the 17th, at 630pm.

Location: The Evergreen Playhouse. Directed by Sean O’Neil.

A monologue is encouraged but not required.

A Steve Martin Adaptation of a 1910 Carl Sternheim comedy. The play opens with the woman, Louise, defending herself against her husband, Theo, who is outraged that she allowed her draw string underpants to fall at a parade for the king. Although she swears that no one saw two men (Versati; and elegant gentleman and Cohen; a sickly barber) arrive at the door minutes later to rent the extra room. And to profess their respective love for Louise. What fallows examines our fascination with fame, our reliance on gender roles, and our enslavement by sex. Replete with off-the-wall humor, wordplay, and masterful banter. We need a cast 5 men and 2 women and a crew of non-specific genders. Be there and tell a friend
